The high season of diving here is December to April, but diving begins from October and carries on till May. However, the best diving conditions run from the month of March to October.

Komodo, Sumatra, Indonesia

This little cluster of islands is known globally for the Komodo dragons. At 50-odd diving spots in Indonesia, where you can easily spot sharks, dolphins, eels, eagle-rays, turtles, and the rare blue-ringed octopus. While going for a dive, you must try to spot wonderful and pleasant pygmy sea- horses floating around. The most suitable time to enjoy underwater diving here is from the month of March to October.

Pulau Sipadan, Celebes Sea, Malaysia

Expert divers rate Pulau Sipadan as one of the best dive regions in the world. Here, in the Celebes Sea of Malaysia, almost every dive is an assured encounter with barracuda schools, droves of turtles and other gigantic fishes. One of the unique features of this island is a turtle tomb, an underwater limestone cave, which is a real graveyard for green sea-turtles who get trapped or drowned. However, it should be noted that this adventure experience is only permitted for extremely skilled divers. The Pulau Sipadan is a year round destination for diving but conditions are best between April and December, predominantly ‘July and August’.
